MAX/Steel Bridge Update

The Steel Bridge will be closed to MAX Light Rail trains from Saturday, August 2, through Sunday, August 24, 2008, as crews connect existing tracks to the new MAX Green Line tracks on 5th and 6th avenues

Rooms Sold Out/Overflow Hotel Announced

There are no more rooms available at the Hilton Portland Hotel or at Portland State University. The meeting has found rooms at an overflow hotel Paramount Hotel, 808 SW Taylor Street (2 blocks from the Hilton Hotel), / To make reservations, call 503-223-9900. The rate until July 23rd is $149 single or double plus tax.  Additional guests in room will be $15 per night

Founded in 1883, the American Ornithologists' Union is the oldest and largest organization in the New World devoted to the scientific study of birds. The 2008 meeting in Portland will mark the 125th anniversary of the AOU's founding
